This is a clever 1960's-era promo from a New York radio station, WHN 1050. The pseudo "man-in-the-street" interview is all said in gobbledygook, but because of it - you listen closer to the key words, which are in English. The voice actors sound like well-known tv voices from then, as well. Any idea who they are?

In an exclusive interview and report from June, 2010, an American-Israeli maritime security expert told Dave Bender (http://www.davebrianbender.com) what an international probe seven months later proved: the naval commandos acted correctly and in self-defense aboard the Mavi Marmara, in a battle between Israel and its sworn enemies.

Excerpt from the Turkel Committee report: "The naval blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip – in view of the security circumstances and Israel's efforts to comply with its humanitarian obligations – was legal pursuant to the rules of international law. The actions carried out by Israel on May 31, 2010, to enforce the naval blockade had the regrettable consequences of the loss of human life and physical injuries. Nonetheless, and despite the limited number of uses of force for which we could not reach a conclusion, the actions taken were found to be legal pursuant to the rules of international law."

It's been a bright, clear day for voters in the area. Officials at two Atlanta polling stations say turnout was moderate; but those who came to cast a ballot knew exactly why they were there. Dave Bender reports for WABE 90.1 FM.

Officials at Dekalb County's Briar Vista and Fulton County's Morningside Elementary schools say voters cast between 50 and 100 ballots an hour by noon.

Voters like 95-year-old Sarah Berlin at Briar Vista, who – with the aid of a friend helping her along - says it's the first time she's voted in person in years:

“I voted for Mary Norwood. I think Atlanta needs a change just like the United States needs a change; so I think that we need to go up and up instead of down and down.”

At Morningside, Randy Malamud says his vote for outsider Jesse Spikes is a vote for fresh blood:

“I watched some of the debates and it seemed like a couple of the other candidates might be competent, but they seemed very much like they were a part of the political machine.”

Also at Morningside, Rick Perriera deliberated, but he too believes that it's time for a change at the mayor's office:

“...my second choice was Kasim Reed; seems like a very smart, engaged guy with some good political experience, so I had a hard choice between him and Mary Norwood, but ultimately, I think it came down to a pretty clear break with the past few years.”

All of those interviewed say they also voted for slates of candidates for city council and school boards.
